Steve Harvey Apologized for Announcing Wrong Winner of Miss Universe 2015

It was one of the most shameful moments of the man’s career.
Steve Harvey, the always-smiling comedian, caught himself in a situation that wasn’t funny at all. The showman had to amend his terrible mistake publicly.
While hosting Miss Universe 2015, Steve accidentally confused and announced Miss Colombia as a beauty contest winner. After a few minutes, Harvey appeared on the stage again and awkwardly claimed to have said the wrong name. The actual winner was Miss Philippines.
In one of his programs, Harvey invited Ariadna Gutierrez, Miss Colombia, and apologized to her with teary eyes.
“You’re the one person that I really want to talk to because of the mistake I made. I cast you into a spotlight, a place that I never intended to. That I would not want to happen to anybody. I just want to say how sorry I am. I’m beyond sorry for what happened that night.”
