The star pushed through.
Although Ryan Reynold had been acting for a long time, his part in “Green Lantern” helped not only his career but also his personal life. It presented a good opportunity to overcome past challenges.
In an interview with the talk show host Jimmy Fallon, Ryan spoke about how the movie enabled him to confront his flying phobia, which stemmed from the negative skydiving experience.
Reynolds mentioned that filming Green Lantern required the actors to be placed on high wires most of the time and through many locations. While doing so, the performer thought about his little nephews and nieces. Ryan said he did not mean to make the entire deal sound ‘altruistic’, but his close ones were excited about this role, and it lifted his spirits.
"So it's just sort of flapping in the wind, and it really wasn't slowing me down at all. It was just making me spin out of control and almost making me unconscious."
