Katy Perry once said that her parents had a unique talent.They spoke a language not of the common knowledge.
The singer had reportedly claimed that her mum and dad, the Christian pastors, were able to speak to God using the sacred tongue.She said that a lot of religious people practiced meditation or chanting as a direct prayer. Perry also added that growing up she avoided uttering certain words because of their connotations. The word “lucky”, for instance, sounded like Lucifer.
"A lot of religions use meditation or chanting. It's a secret, direct prayer language to God. My dad speaks in tongues and my mom interprets it. That's their gift…I wasn't ever able to say I was 'lucky' because my mother would rather us say that we were blessed, and she also didn't like that lucky sounded like Lucifer.”
