Meghan Markle Confessed She Changed Her Major to Seek Political Career
Becoming Duchess wasn’t on her schedule.
Looks like Meghan Markle always had big plans. The ambitious woman didn’t quit on her dream even after entering the royal family.
Before her marriage to the Prince, Meghan led a life full of different activities. After stepping back from noble duties and seeking independence in California, the former actress started pursuing her early dreams: politics.
It became known that at the age of 20, Meghan undertook a traineeship at the US Embassy in Argentina. Now, rumors claim the ex-royal couple is trying to seek a political career in the USA. In her interview with Marie Claire in 2013, the Duchess confessed:
“I knew I wanted to do acting ... but I wanted more than that, and I had always loved politics, so I ended up changing my major completely, and double-majoring in theater and international relations. By my junior year I had finished most of my credits, and I applied for an internship at the U.S. Embassy, so I ended up working in the embassy in Buenos Aires for a few months. … I thought for sure I would still have a career in politics.”
