No surprise why he ended up so successful.
Kevin Hart had to fool his mother to chase his dream. The American comedian was too smart to give up.
In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the “Me Time” star admitted his wish to become a basketball player at high school was stronger than his parent’s limits. Because the school was too far, Hart was never allowed to leave the house early for the training. Kevin, therefore, rewound clocks at home, so the mom thought it was the right moment to leave.
Even though she eventually realized her son’s scheming, Mrs. Hart let the future comedian stay on the team.
“I played high school basketball for four years but it wasn’t that easy. And my mom didn’t want me to try because my school was two hours from our house. And the trials for the basketball team were at 6 am. My mom was like ‘You’re not leaving our house at 4 am.’ Because I'm such a genius I decided to take all the clocks in the house and set them all forward. I tried out and I was happy- my plan worked.”
