Sharing his skin glow secret publicly cost Jake Gyllenhaal some nerves. Eventually, the actor had to apologize for his sarcasm.
In a talk with Vanity Fair, the “Nightcrawler” star confessed he doesn’t consider bathing a necessity. Jake simply claimed that the human body and skin could clean themselves naturally. Shortly after the interview, Gyllenhaal received a lot of hate for not caring about his hygiene.
To avoid those toxic opinions, the actor sat for a press conference and admitted it was just a joke.
“I don't know what it was. I answered a question where I was being sarcastic and ironic, and it’s followed me around. Unfortunately, I showered before I came here. So...I’m sorry, everybody.”
