Conor and Khabib Went from Mutual Admiration to Eternal Rivalry

Khabib Nurmagomedov probably, never thought he’d have an eternal feud with Conor McGregor. Till 2016, the relationship between the two athletes was completely different.

Khabib once had only respect and admiration for his colleague. On the social media account, the star revealed wanting to buy a T-shirt with Conor’s face. McGregor replied to such a post by calling Nurmagomedov a “champ” and “Russian bear”.

However, after Conor transferred to the lightweight category in 2016, best friends turned into bad-blood enemies. Their fight in 2018 remained the highest-ever selling pay-per-view in UFC history.
