The man draws attention to ecological problems.

Takayuki Fukuzawa, a Japanese designer and eco activist, decided on a new trend based on his ecological views. The designer’s initiative seems to be a joke at first glance, yet Fukuzawa considers it to be the best solution to the conditions of emerging ecological problems.

The thing is that the designer has launched a collection of holey socks. Fukuzawa explains his strange venture with the motivation to save materials, excluding the possibility of air pollution.

He states that once torn clothes become trendy, they will serve the owner longer, since there would be no need to throw them away.

“I think that designers should strive to create wardrobe items, based on their own beliefs, and not affected by the overall perception of beauty”.
