After becoming rich, the actor didn’t forget the one who helped him.

Sylvester Stallone did not always have an easy life. In the early days of his career, he was so poor he had to let go of a dear friend to make ends meet.

After finding willing producers, he tried repurchasing his pet but encountered several difficulties. The new owner didn’t want to return Butkus; he even threatened Sylvester.

Only an offer of $3000 changed the man’s mind. Sylvester reunited with his beloved dog, who later appeared in two “Rocky” movies.

“You’ve only had him for a week!” He wanted to fight me and he said he was gonna kill me — he was a crazy little person! I couldn’t fight him — they’d arrest me — so I offered to pay double. Anyway, $3,000 and several threats later…”
